WINTER 2024 DODGEBALL SEASON

Dates/Times: All games will be played on Sunday afternoons between 12:00PM - 4:00PM. Games are 25 minutes each, with expectations of teams playing 2 games per.

Facility: IRSAY Family YMCA: 430 S Alabama St, Indianapolis, IN 46225. Parking is free, but will require validation by Irsay YMCA.

Registration Cost: $40 per player, which includes your registered player T-shirt (see registration information section below). The league is open to all and those in need of an equitable registration option can email us for more information.

Registration Information: Registration for the WINTER 2024 league begins on Sunday, November 12, 2023 to Sunday, December 10, 2023; or when the league is full.

  • A team is formed when at least 8 players register and pay within 24 hours. Each team may have up to 16 players. Any team that does not have the required 8 registered players when registration closes will revert to incorporating free agents until the number reaches at least 12. We will do our best to keep groups together in the case that a minimum 8 players is not met. Please note that a full rostered team is made up of 16 players, so any incorporated team short of that number shall be assigned free agents to fill the full team roster at the discretion of the commissioner.
  • Captains: If you plan on being the captain of a team, you will need to register first, create the correct team and team name and then have players register under your team name. An email will be sent once you have signed up with additional team information and responsibilities as a captain; you will select your T-shirt color when you register your team. Due to continuing supply issues, t-shirt color is not guaranteed, but you will be contacted by the Kickball Commissioner if your color needs to be changed. Captains and Co-Captains are also required to attend a mandatory Captain meeting (details to follow). If neither the captain nor the co-captain are able to attend, they must provide a representative in their place.
  • Players:
  • I plan to create a team: If you plan to create a team you will need to register as a team captain (see above). Then you can tell your friends to register as a team player and join your team. To become an official team, you must register 8 players.
  • I plan to join a team: If you already know with which team you are going to play on, you will need to register as a team player. Keep in mind that you can't randomly join any team; captains may ask that a player be removed from their team prior to the close of registration. Captains can email Cameron Yates to move a player from their team but only after the captain has communicated with the player first and explained why.
  • I want to play but I don't have a team: That's fantastic! This league is about making new friends. Register as a free agent, or if you have a small group of friends, create a "small group" and we will do our best to place you all together!
  • Divisions:
  • Captains must indicate their team's desired level of play either competitive or recreational.
  • All participants, including free agents and small groups will also be asked to indicate their desired level of play to ensure that they are matched to the most appropriate teams.
  • Competitive and Recreational Divisions will compete separately and have separate tournaments at the end of the season.
  • Referee Provision by Competitive:
  • All competitive teams will be expected to provide one person to referee. This requirement is in addition to line judging requirements. The referee is expected to have a firm grasp of the rules and have attended a rule session hosted by the Commission. It is our goal to limit the number of games each referee is responsible to 1 game per Sunday, but it is possible that with unavailability or need this may change.
  • With regards to changes in referee availability, it is expected that the team's referee volunteer will be available for most (if not all) game days. It is understood that unexpected events may occur or other obligations may prevent from being there every weekend, and it is requested that there be a one week notice of unavailability. A substitute from the team is acceptable, but they must meet the basic standard and the Commission must be notified ahead of time. Similarly to the line judge penalty, a failure to provide a referee or suitable alternate without notice is subject to a -2 penalty to games on the day thereof.

Zero Tolerance Policy: Stonewall Sports Indianapolis has zero tolerance of any bullying or harassment of any kind and for any reason of any player, captain, referee, official, participant, sponsor, director, officer or spectator. Harassment can be verbal, physical or visual, and includes all unwelcome conduct that affects someone else. The Stonewall Sports Indianapolis Board of Directors has an open-door policy and welcomes you to report any conduct by any player, captain, referee, official, participant, sponsor, director, officer, or spectator that makes you feel uncomfortable. The Board of Directors takes all allegations and reports seriously and will thoroughly investigate all claims, and if warranted, will take all appropriate action.

Registration Fees: The $40 registration fee pays for participant t-shirts, facility fees, liability insurance, processing fees, Stonewall Sports National organization fees, sports equipment, professional photographers, and other expenses that make Stonewall Kickball an exciting and fun experience for all!
